Manual Machinist

We are now recruiting for a Manual Machinist to operate manual mills or lathes to produce high tolerance piece parts and components used in UHV end products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Meet deadlines for internal and external customers
  • Clocking on works orders to initiate start of job and clocking off works order to show job completion
  • Improve efficiency by working to reduce set-up and ensuring accurate, efficient work output
  • To perform other duties from time to time, as may be required by the Company
  • Ensure tidiness and physical appearance of the workplace is maintained
  • Ensure adherence to HS&E policies


Skills & Experience: 

  • A proven track record of understanding how to use machines and problems associated with machining different shapes and sizes of components
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and operate manual machines.
  • Must understand requirements of On Time Delivery both internally and externally
  • Have an understanding of how parts/material will react after and during machining to be able to foresee potential problems before they arise.
  • Ability to prioritise projects throughout team to achieve targets incorporating CIT, (call in time / Overtime).
  • Deadline driven without compromising quality.
  • Capable of using the relevant measuring equipment that is suitable for the tolerance band being checked
  • Understands and works to the 5s program.

Assistant Accountant

We are now recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to ensure the accurate and timely reflection of business activities according to the agreed accounting standards and identifying areas of strength and improvement opportunities for the business!


As our Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for:


  • Assisting in the completion of monthly management accounts, variance analysis and detailed commentary.
  • Prepare & process month end journals – payments/accruals/depreciation.
  • Monthly reconciliation and closing of COS, absorption & post related entries.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation – FA, Inventory & Intercompany.
  • Initial reporting and investigation of business variances (labour, materials, price etc).
  • Assist in the preparation of labour & OHD rates.
  • Preparation and execution of Qtly cost roll process (materials, labour & overheads).
  • Preparation and submission of statutory returns (VAT / EC Sales / Intrastat / NSO).
  • Analysing financial performance and contributing to business planning and forecasts.
  • AX System maintenance – fixed asset, WO close (daily), FX rates, period close.
  • Year end audit – assist in the preparation of year end audit file.


In order to be successful in this role you must have:


  • A minimum of Part Qualified Accountant.
  • A minimum 2 years of experience in creation and analysis of monthly management accounts.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent IT Skills.

Internal Sales Adminstrator 

We are recruiting for an experienced internal sales administrator who has worked within a busy technical sales environment who has excellent customer service skills. The includes all sales processes including order and quotation management, enquiries, complaints and marketing related activities. This role represents the communication interface between the customer, agents and distributors and the company. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Quotations, receipt of RFQ and tender platform and timeline management
  • Coordinate with technical sales, engineering and manufacturing
  • Follow up quotations with customers/distributors
  • Order entry into MS AX and maintain changes driven by manufacturing or the customers
  • To initiate regular and systematic telephone follow up of customers and maintain records using the CRM system
  • General Office Admin
  • Member and back-up in the Sales Administration/Marketing Team

Skills & experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a busy technical sales environment
  • Experience working in various cultures
  • Competent in Microsoft Programmes (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Export Control Experience an advantage

Product Development Engineer

We are now recruiting for a Product Development Engineer to be an integral part of the Engineering team ensuring our products are delivered on time, to specification and within budget and to the best DFMA principles.


About the role: 


Have you got demonstrable experience in CAD Design / Drawing and using this to provide manufacturing engineering support?

Are you great at project costing, quotation and root cause analysis?

Do you have a background in design engineering and experience in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)?

The main purpose of the role is taking ownership for the assigned product range during its lifecycle including the following aspects:

You will be responsible for owning the full lifecycle of one of our product ranges including Product Development, Product Maintenance, Custom Design, NPI and Manufacturing Support:

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:


  • 3-5 years in a similar engineering role
  • Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience in CAD design/drawing
  • Production Engineering of components and assemblies
  • ERP system familiarity including creating BOM’s
  • Project costing & quotation
  • Root cause analysis


It would be great if you had:


  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics and MS Office products
  • Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or an HNC/D in Mechanical or Production Engineering
  • Experience in new product introduction would be a benefit
