We are recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer in our Operations department. This role will provide production engineering support, designing CNC programmes (using Alphacam), lead operations improvements activities that improve quality and reduce waste and evaluate and recommend new manufacturing methods.
Candidates must have the following skills and experience:
· CNC programming & editing on machines or using Alphacam
· Knowledge of engineering components (BOMs, Ops & Routings)
· Experience in manufacturing/machining environment
· Excellent computer skills
· Experience of implementing best practise manufacturing methods
· Strong communication skills
Graduate Engineer - Quality
We are currently offering a fantastic opportunity for an engineering graduate to join our busy Quality team. This role involves all aspects of quality including mechanical inspection, testing & validating components and assemblies, leading problem solving activity including root cause analysis using lean/Six Sigma methodology. Working closely with Operations and Engineering to drive end to end quality culture and improve customer satisfaction. You will learn to manage all quality related issues, by implementing robust solutions and changes to manufacturing processes to improve quality and reduce waste. The role will involve maintaining the documented Quality Management System and undertaking projects, to include process enhancement, new processes and Manufacturing improvements that improve quality & efficiency. As well as supporting assessments of the quality management system when undertaken by customers and external certification bodies such as ISO Management systems.
We are looking for Graduates with a minimum 2:1 BEng or BSc in an Engineering related discipline or equivalent, ideally including a module covering Quality. You should have excellent communication skills to enable you to forge solid working relationships. Good organisation and IT skills are a pre-requisite as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines. You will be a confident, self-motivated team player.
