UHV Magnetically Coupled Rotary Drives

Magnetically coupled rotary drives utilise a high strength magnetic coupling to transfer rotational forces into the vacuum environment. These drives are fitted with samarium cobalt magnets and can withstand excessive torque. Due to the lack of bellows, the drives have a long service life and do not risk a vacuum leak.

Rotary drives are used where a vacuum process requires a sample or components to be accurately rotated within the vacuum chamber. This can range from something as simple as spinning an attenuating chopper wheel, to accurately moving a sample to face from one analyser to another.

MRD91

The ZMRD91 is a magnetically coupled rotary drive fitted with rare-earth magnets to provide long life, mounted on a 34mm OD CF Flange. This drive offers zero backlash under low load and acceleration.

MRD93

Magnetically Coupled UHV Rotary Drive - MRD Series with Samarium Cobalt Magnets
The ZMRD93 is a magnetically coupled rotary drive and offers a cost effective solution to magnetic drives which do not require any level of accuracy. Designed for long service life and mounted on 34mm OD CF Flange.

Primary Rotary Drive
The ZMRD6 is a magnetically coupled rotary drive mounted on a 70mm OD CF flange. The drive can also be fitted with a stepper motor for repetitive movements requiring accuracy such as a beam line chopper.
